You might be wondering why things have gone so quiet on Spotify, Apple Music, and other platforms recently. If you try to stream my songs right now, you’ll likely come up empty-handed.
But don't worry: I haven't stopped making music. Quite the opposite. I’m tidying up to make room for something new.
Why my songs are currently offline: I have decided to retire my long-standing pseudonym "Leto Love" and release everything under my real name from now on: Frederic Kollmer.
However, this shift is more than just a name change. Technically, it’s a complete relocation. It’s like moving house in real life: before you can move into the new place, you have to completely move out of the old one. In the music industry, this is called a "takedown." That’s why my albums are temporarily unavailable for streaming - we are currently moving them from the old name to the new one.
The reason for the change: Clarity over confusion You’ve known my music under the name Leto since 1996. But the internet has changed drastically since then. Anyone searching for "Leto" today finds Hollywood stars (like Jared Leto) or French rappers, but hardly ever me. Competing against this kind of algorithmic fame is almost impossible.
The result was often frustrating: You looked for my music but ended up somewhere else. I want to change that. No more hide-and-seek, no more mix-ups. To ensure my music remains easy to find - and to guarantee that you are actually listening to me - I am opting for full transparency: All real, all direct, all under Frederic Kollmer.
When will I be back? We are working flat out behind the scenes to overcome the bureaucratic hurdles of the streaming platforms. Realistically speaking, this process will take until January 2026.
As soon as the switch is flipped back on, you will find my entire back catalogue as well as all future projects in one place: under my real name.
Thank you for joining me on this journey and for your patience. It will be worth the wait!
See you soon, Frederic
